The Beautiful Game - Intro

The month is June and digi.talk has World Cup Fever like everyone else

ball250.gif

It begins here …… They call it a fever but it’s more of a mania with a little obsession added, it’s a relatively harmless kind of affliction, reaching a peak quite soon. It will run for about a month and in Singapore, due to time difference, cause bouts of sleeplessness allied to the usual depression, elation, a little boredom, lots of reruns and thousands of replays.

Yes it’s the 18th World Cup and in our humble way NLB will be looking at the hullabaloo from our own perspective bringing information closer to you.

Like many others on the way we will be looking at the winners, the losers; the pain and the gain; but we will also be looking at the oddities which the event throws up We will also try to bring out a different perspective on the “Beautiful Game” through our databases – oh and, I nearly forgot we’ll be throwing in a few competitions and quizzes to help you keep your eye on the ball in the course of this month of football fixation.
